• William was the 1st Count of Eu in Normandy. He was named by Henry V. He fought at the Battle of Agincourt in 1415. William traveled with King Henry V during his expedition to France in 1417 and played a significant role in the capture of Normandy.
• William died on May 28, 1420, (46 years old) in Troyes, France. He is buried at Llanthony Priory in Monmouthshire, Wales.
