- Humphrey was born in June of 1435 in Halstead, England.
- He married Elizabeth Tilney and they had three children together: John, Margaret, and Anne.
- Humphrey is descended from King Edward III. He was killed at the Battle of Barnet on April 14, 1471, (36 years old) during the War of the Roses.

18th Generation: Elizabeth Tilney
- Elizabeth was born in 1445.
- She was the daughter of Sir Frederick Tilney of Lincolnshire.
- Her first husband was Thomas Howard, Earl of Surrey.
- She married Sir Humphrey and they had three children together:
- John (1467-1533) 2nd Baron Berners
- Lady Margaret (who we are descended from) (1468-1551)
- Anne Fiennes (1470-1530) Husband was Thomas Fiennes, 8th Lord Dacre. Their son was executed for murder.
- Elizabeth was Lady in Waiting for 2 Queens. She served as Lady in Waiting to Queen Consort Elizabeth Woodville and later Lady of the Bedchamber to Elizabeth of York, Queen Consort of Henry VIII.
- Elizabeth was Godmother to Margaret Tudor.
- Through her daughter Elizabeth Howard (from first marriage) she is the grandmother of Anne Boleyn and Great grandmother of Queen Elizabeth I.
