- William was born in 1109 at Ellenhall Manor Rauton Staffordshire.
- He married Lady Celestria de Limesi, and they had one son together, Robert.
- William’s family came from Valognes, Normandy. His ancestor fought at the Battle of Hastings and received land in England as a result. He became the Earl of Ellenhall.
- William died after 1129 (20 years old). He is buried at St. Mary’s Church in Ellenhall.

- Celestria was born in 1107 in Hitchin, Herefordshire. She was the daughter of Bishop Robert de Limesi.
- She married William, and they had one son together:
- Robert (who we are descended from) (1128-1151)
- Celestria died in 1128 (21 years old) and is buried at St. Mary’s Church in Ellenhall.
