23rd Generation: Hugh de Hastings

• Hugh was born in 1336 in Elsing, Norfolk.
• He married Margaret de Everingham, and they had four children together: Alice, Joan, Hugh, and Margaret.
• Hugh accompanied the Duke of Lancaster in an expedition to Normandy in June of 1356. He was with King Edward III in the invasion of France in 1359. He was captured and ransomed by the Spanish in 1366.
• Hugh died in September of 1369 (33 years old) in Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France. He died at Kalkwell Hill near Calais in the encampment of the Duke of Lancaster. He is buried at Black Friars, Doncaster, Yorkshire.

23rd Generation: Margaret de Everingham

• Margaret was born in 1331 in Laxton, Nottingham. She was the daughter of Sir Adam de Everingham and Joan d’Eiville.
• She married Hugh, and they had four children together:
  • Alice (who we are descended from) (1352-1410)
  • Joan
  • Hugh (?-1386)
  • Margaret
• Margaret died in November 25, 1375, (44 years old) in Elsing, Norfolk.
