27th Generation: Sir Stephen de Northwoode (Norwood)
- Stephen was born in 1165 on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent.
- He married a lady named Joan (?), and they had one son together:
- Roger (who we are descended from) (1225-1285)
- Stephen built Norwood Manor on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent. The manor was moated and encompassed with a park that was well wooded. Hence, he assumed the name “Northwood.”
- Stephen died on April 21, 1231, (66 years old) at Norwood Manor on Isle of Sheppey, Kent.
