- Edward was born in May 14, 1598, in Lincolnshire, England.
- He married Faith Thurston Clarke on January 9, 1635, in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
- They had eleven children together: Faith, Edward, William, John, Thomas, Samuel, Desire, Elizabeth, Isaac, Joseph, and Mary.
- Edward left London and came over on the 1st crossing of the Mayflower in 1620. He was an indentured servant to Stephen Hopkins. He was one of the signers of the Mayflower Compact.
- Edward died on August 23, 1655, (57 years old) in Yarmouth, Massachusetts.

- Faith was born in 1619 in Ipswich, Suffolk, England.
- She arrived in Massachusetts on the boat Francis in 1634 with her father and mother.
- Faith married Edward on January 9, 1635, in Plymouth, Massachusetts. They had eleven children together:
- Faith (1636-1640)
- Edward (1637-1689) He drowned in Plymouth Harbor.
- William (1637-1638)
- John (1640-1701)
- Thomas (1641-1678)
- Samuel (who we are descended from) (1643-1715)
- Desire Standish (1645-1667) She married the son of Miles Standish.
- Elizabeth (1646-1717)
- Isaac (1648-1728) Died in Oyster Bay, New York
- Joseph (1651-1732) Died in Rochester, New York
- Mary (1653-1728)
- Faith died on December 21, 1675, (56 years old) in Marshfield, Massachusetts. There is a monument to her in the Winslow Cemetery in Massachusetts.
