8th Generation: William T. Burget Sr.
- William was born in 1776 in Schoharie, New York.
- He married Abigail Andrews in 1799 in New York. They had ten children together: Jehoiakim, John, Rueben, Priscilla, Milberry, Rhoda, William, David, Ursula, and Lydia.
- William brought family to Ohio in 1813. He built a log cabin. He was one of the first pioneer families in Ashtabula, Ohio.
- William died in 1830 (54 years old) in Ohio.
- Abigail was born on March 4, 1782, in Hartford, Connecticut.
- She married William in 1799 in New York. They had ten children together:
- Jehoiakim W. Burget (1799-1846 in Wisconsin)
- John A. Burget (who we are descended from) (1801-1858)
- Rueben F. Burget (1804-1884 in Oregon) He was a member of the second wagon train that went on the Oregon Trail in 1847.
- Priscilla Burget (1809-1862) She was crippled and assigned a guardian when her mother died.
- Milberry Burget (1810-1810)
- Rhoda Burget (1810-1810)
- William Burget Jr (1813-1886 in Ohio) He became a cheese maker and a man of prominence in the area.
- David White Burget (1817-1903 in Michigan)

- Abigail died on September 2, 1861, (79 years old) in Harpersfield, Ohio.
