22nd Generation: John FitzAlan
- John was born in 1344 in Etchingham, Sussex, England.
- He married Eleanor Maltravers, and they had five children together: Joan, John, Richard, William, and Margaret.
- John was the 1st Baron of Arundel. He was a Lord Marshal of England under Richard II. He built Betchworth Castle.
- John commanded a naval expedition that defeated the French fleet off the coast of Cornwall.
- John died in December of 1379 (35 years old). His fleet was caught in a storm and he drowned. He is buried in Lewes Priory in Sussex. He is also the ancestor of the poet Percy Shelley.

- Eleanor was born in 1345. She was the daughter of John Maltravers and Gwenthin.
- She married John, and they had five children together:
