• John was the 3rd Lord of Clun and Oswestry. He was one of the feudal barons that become a target of King John. The King’s forces burned Oswestry to the ground.
• John represented the Crown in a dispute between Henry III and Welsh leader Llwelyn the Great in 1226.
• John died in 1240 (40 years old) in Oswestry, Shropshire, England.

28th Generation: Isabel d’Aubigny

• Isabel was born in Chester, England.
• Isabel is the daughter of William d’Aubigny, the 3rd Earl of Arundel, and Mabel of Chester.
• She married John, and they had one son together:
  • John FitzAlan (who we are descended from) (1223-1267)
• It is unknown when Isabel died.
