• Isabella was born in 1247 at Wigmore Castle, Herefordshire.
• Isabella is the daughter of Roger Mortimer, 1st Baron Wigmore, and Maud de Braose. Her family was an important Welsh Marcher family.
• She married John, and they had two children together:
  • Richard FitzAlan (who we are descended from) (1266-1301)
  • Matilda de Brus (?-?) Married Robert de Brus, Lord of Annandale. She married twice more after Robert.
• Isabella died in 1292 (45 years old).
