25th Generation: Richard FitzAlan
- Richard was born on February 3, 1266, at Arundel Castle, Sussex, England.
- He married Alesia di Saluzzo before 1285, and they had five children together: Edmund, John, Alice, Margaret, and Eleanor.
- Richard was the 8th Earl of Arundel. He was also a feudal Lord of Clun and Oswestry in the Welsh Marshes.
- Richard fought in the Welsh Wars from 1288 to 1294. He commanded the force sent to relieve the siege at the Welsh Castle of Castell y Bere.
- He also fought in Gascony from 1295-1297 and in the Scottish wars between 1298-1300.
- Richard died on March 9, 1301 (35 years old). He is buried in the sanctuary of Haughmond Abbey with other relatives.

25th Generation: Alesia di Saluzzo
- Alesia was born May 18, 1269, in Saluzzao, Italy.
- She was the daughter of Thomas I of Saluzzo in Italy.
- She married Richard before 1285. Her marriage was arranged by the late King Henry III’s Queen consort, Eleanor of Provence. Her marriage was the first between an Italian woman and the English nobility.
- Alesia and Richard had five children together:
- Edmund FitzAlan (who we are descended from) (1285-1326)
- John FitzAlan (?-?) He was a priest.
- Alice de Segrave (?-?) She married Stephen de Segrave, 3rd Lord Segrave.
- Margaret le Botiller (?-?) She married William le Botiller
- Eleanor de Percy (?-1328) She married Henry de Percy, 1st Baron Percy.
- Alesia died on September 25, 1292, (23 years old) at Arundel Castle, Sussex, England.
