- Bartholomew was born in 1706 in Berkeley County, South Carolina.
- He married Elizabeth Henlen (this might have been her second marriage and her maiden name could be Nelson) on April 4, 1731, in Craven County, South Carolina. They had two children together: Edward and Mary (who we are descended from).
- Bartholomew fought in the Indian War.
- He died on March 13, 1777, ( 71 years old) in Beaufort County, South Carolina.
9th Generation: Elizabeth Henlen
- Elizabeth was born in 1710 in St John’s Parish, John’s Island, South Carolina.
- She may have been married to another man before she married Bartholomew on April 4, 1731. Her maiden name may have been Nelson. Elizabeth and Bartholomew had two children together:
- Edward (1744-1779) (35 years old) Fought in Revolutionary War. Died in Georgia.
- Mary (who we are descended from) (1746-1789) (43 years old) Died in Spotsylvania, Virginia.
- Elizabeth died in September of 1755 (45 years old) in Prince Frederick Church, South Carolina.
