*14th Generation: Capt. John Lawson

• John was born in 1575 in Brough Hall, Yorkshire, England.
• He married Sarah Rowland on May 2, 1606, in Brough Hall. They had three children together: Richard, Epaphroditus, and Rowland.
• John served as a captain in King Charles Army. When Charles was defeated, he was banished to the colonies and his lands were confiscated. He joined his sons in Virginia in 1653.
• John died in 1655 (80 years old) in Lancaster County, Virginia.

14th Generation: Sarah Rowland

• Sarah was born on January 6, 1582, in Yorkshire, England.
• She married John on May 2, 1606, in Brough Hall. They had three children together:
  • Richard (1608-1658) (50 years old) Died in Virginia
  • Epaphroditus (1612-1652) (50 years old) Died in Virginia
  • Rowland (who we are descended from) (1617-1661) (44 years old) Died in Virginia
• Sarah died in 1617 (35 years old) from childbirth in Yorkshire, England.
