*10th Generation: Capt. Alexis Lemmon

• Alexis was born on December 8, 1718, in Surrey, England.
• He married Martha Murray Merryman on December 9, 1739, in Baltimore, Maryland. They had six children together: John, Mary, Hannah, Rebecca, Eleanor, and Moses.
• Alexis arrived with his parents to Baltimore before 1732. He served the Baltimore Artillery Company. During the Revolutionary War, he served as a marine on board the ship “Defense.”
• Alexis died on July 28, 1786 (68 years old) in Baltimore, Maryland.

*10th Generation: Martha Murray Merryman

• Martha was born in 1720 in Ireland.
• She married Alexis on December 9, 1739, in Baltimore, Maryland. They had six children together:
  • John (who we are descended from) (1740-1811) (71 years old)
