• Anthony was born in 1500 in Otterden, Kent, England.

• Sir Anthony was a Knight of Bishopsbourne, Marshall of Calais, Governor of Guisnes, and Master of the Jewel House of the Tower of London.
• He served as an agent of Henry VIII in the dissolution of the monasteries. He acquired the manors at Bishopsbourne and Lympne.
• Sir Anthony died on January 9, 1558 (58 years old) at the Battle of Calais, which the English lost. He was a military commander at this battle.
