17th Generation: Sir Anthony Aucher
- Anthony was born in 1500 in Otterden, Kent, England.
- He married Affra Cornwallis in 1532, and they had three children together: John, Edward, and Anne.
- Sir Anthony was a Knight of Bishopsbourne, Marshall of Calais, Governor of Guisnes, and Master of the Jewel House of the Tower of London.
- He served as an agent of Henry VIII in the dissolution of the monasteries. He acquired the manors at Bishopsbourne and Lympne.
- Sir Anthony died on January 9, 1558 (58 years old) at the Battle of Calais, which the English lost. He was a military commander at this battle.
17th Generation: Affra Cornwallis
- Affra was born in 1511 in Brome, Suffolk, England.
- She married Sir Anthony in 1532, and they had three children together:
- John (1535-1569) (34 years old)
- Edward (who we are descended from) (1539-1568) (29 years old)
- Anne (?-1614) She married Sir Humphrey Gilbert who was an adventurer. He sold Otterden Manor to finance his voyages.
- Affra died on May 12, 1560 (28 years old) in Bishopsbourne, Kent, England.
