• Richard was born in 1368 in Shipbroke, England.

• Sir Richard died on July 21, 1403 (35 years old). He was hung, drawn, and quartered by Henry IV upon capture at the Battle of Shrewsbury. He had participated in the rebellion let by Henry Percy. He is featured in Shakespeare’s play Henry IV.

• Joan was born in an unknown year.
• Her father was Sir Rhys ap Gruffyd of Llandswrn, Wales, and Isabel de Stackpole.
• She married Sir Richard in 1389, and they had one child together:
