29th Generation: Sir Richard De Montacute
- Richard was born in 1095 at Shepton Montagu Somerset, England.
- He married twice, and had one son:
- William De Montacute (who we are descended from) (1140-1218)
- Richard made an “ancient plea” a Norman rite to prevent something from taking place in 1156.
- He paid 20 marks for Knight’s fees in 1161 (approx 66 years old), but died shortly after.
