25th Generation: Simon de Montagu
- Simon was born in 1250 in Shepton Montagu, Somerset, England.
- He married Aufricia Fergus, and they had two children: William and Simon.
- He was the 1st Baron Montagu.
- Simon fought in Edward I’s campaign in Wales in 1277. He was summoned to parliament in 1282. He met the King at Portsmouth.
- On September 1, 1294, he traveled to Gascony. He also fought in Scotland and was made Governor of Corfe Castle in Dorset. He attended the crowning of Edward II. He was made the governor of Beumaris Castle in 1308.
- Simon served as Admiral of the Fleet against the Scots in 1310.
- Simon died on September 26, 1316, (66 years old) in Berkshire, England.
