• Augustine was born on June 3, 1642, at Warner Hall, Gloucester, Virginia.
• He married Mildred Reade, and they had seven children together: Mary, Augustine, Robert, Sarah, George, Mildred, and Elizabeth.
• Col. Augustine was a politician and a planter. He served in the House of Burgesses from 1666-1677. He served on the court martial of the leaders of Bacon’s Rebellion.
• He is the great-great grandfather of explorer Meriwether Lewis, as well as the great grandfather of George Washington.
• Augustine died on June 19, 1681, (39 years old), at Warner Hall, Virginia.

• Mildred was born on October 2, 1643, in York County, Virginia. Her father, George, was the Secretary of the Virginia Colony.
• Mildred married Augustine, and they had seven children together:
