- Benjamin fought in the Revolutionary war. He began the war as a lieutenant and worked his way up to a colonel.
- Benjamin died on December 10, 1789, (61 years old) in Lunenburg, Virginia.

- Jane was born in 1728 in Virginia.
- She married Benjamin in Virginia in 1752. They had five children together:
- Amye (who we are descended from) (1745-1787)
- Harris (1752-1820) Also fought in Revolutionary War

- Martha (Patty) (1762-?)
- Mary (1766-1843)
- Jane died on September 2, 1820, (92 years old) in Lunenburg, Virginia.
