26th Generation: Sir Guy de Brienne
- Sir Guy de Brienne was born in 1202 in Brienne-le-Chateau in France.
- He married Jane de la Pole.
- He was a Norman and served as Lord Marcher and was granted lands by Henry III. A Lord Marcher was a noble appointed by the King to defend the border between England and Wales.
- Guy and Jane had a son also named Guy.
- He was called the Lord of Haverfordwest.
- Sir Guy de Brienne died in 1252 (50 years old) at Walwyn Castle in Wales.
The original castle was destroyed many times. What stands now was built around 1788. It was ransacked during the unrest in France. In 1852 it belonged to a duke, but when he ran out of money it was sold to an estate agent who sold all of the furniture and art within. It was later turned into a hospital.
26th Generation: Jane de la Pole
- She was born in 1202 in France.
- Her father, William de la Pole.
- She married Sir Guy de Brienne and had a son also named Guy.
- She died in 1255 (53 years old) in Walwyn Castle in Wales.
