6th Generation: Allen Bryant

• Allen was born in 1827 in Pitt County, North Carolina.
• He married Peninah (Penelope) on April 15, 1850, in Madison County, Tennessee.
• When they got married, he moved to Penelope’s farm. Her parents had died and she was raising her siblings. Between 1856 and 1859, he moved his family to Freeborn, Missouri. He worked as a carpenter there.
• They had 5 children together: Jeremiah (who we are descended from), George, Arena, James, and Sarah.
• Allen died soon after he moved to Missouri around 1865.(38 years old)

6th Generation: Peninah (Penelope) Williams

• Penelope was born in 1827 in Wilson County, Tennessee.
• She married Allen on April 15, 1850, in Madison County, Tennessee. They had five children together:
  • Jeremiah Marion (who we are descended from) (1852-1919)
  • George Washington (1853-1918 in Crockett County, Tennessee. He had moved to Texas, but returned to Tennessee before his death)
  • Arena A. (1854-?)
  • James A. (1856-?)
  • Sarah E. (1859-?)
• After Allen died, Penelope remarried her first cousin Meekins Ivory Williams. Penelope died in 1888 (61 years old) in Crockett County, Tennessee.
